Jurgen Habermas, is by all means, one of the most important philosophers and social scientists in the world. He is author of the Theory of Communicative Action, a social theory aiming to fix shortcomings of modernist thought by building on its indeniable contributions. By weaving social theory and Piagetian developmental theory from a Kantian detranscendentalized perspective, he thinks communication in moral terms and, consequently, proposes an Ethics of Discourse. His works has been a source of inspiration for those who refuse violence and engage politically with democratic negotiation as the most important tool mankind has for changing the world and making it better for us all.
